“Every Celebration Needs Cake”

ROUND LAKE – “A cake can really lift someone spirits,” said Leah Stein, Owner of Leah’s Cakery in Round Lake.

Leah’s baking started out as a hobby but turned into her profession when she opened Leah’s Cakery in 2013. The Cakery is a quaint, “made from scratch” bakery and coffee shop located in the historic West Side General Store building at 3 Curry Ave. More so, Leah’s Cakery is a renowned custom wedding and special event cake shop.

Stop in for some pastries, homemade bread, fresh-baked cookies, a slice of pie, and more during breakfast or brunch hours, or choose from the many combinations and styles of cakes or cupcakes for any celebration that you are planning.

“Every celebration needs a cake,” said Leah.”

After learning how to bake from her grandmother, Leah has kept all her recipes old-fashioned and made-from scratch. Leah takes pride in getting her fresh ingredients, flour, butter, buttermilk, etc., from local suppliers such as Willow-Marsh Farm Store in Ballston Spa.

Leah easily balances her traditional, refined decorating with trendy designs through keeping up with popular color palettes and cake artists on social media – meaning your next cake is sure to wow your event guests.

“People still enjoy good, old-fashioned, made-from scratch goods. But, I am learning something new every week,” said Leah on her decorating inspiration.

The Cakery also keeps up with the holiday themes, and as St. Patrick’s Day approaches, Sugar Shamrocks and Ginger Pot of Gold Cookies are available in store until 3/17 along with Irish Soda Bread that can be preordered online.

Cookies for Ukraine

To help support refugees and those on the front lines, Leah’s Cakery is currently selling Cookies for Ukraine. For each bag of 12 cookies sold, 50% of proceeds are donated to 518Ukrainians (www.518ukrainians.com). These blue and yellow sprinkled sugar cookies are available in store and can be preordered online.
