It’s a unique take on a charity golf tournament — and it will raise more than $5,000 to benefit children in need in the Capital Region.
The Pioneer Charitable Foundation will present its annual Mini-Golf Tournament on Thursday, June 15 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Pirate’s Hideout, 175 Guideboard Road in Waterford.
Area business, professional, and community leaders will participate in the fun event. Aligned with the Pioneer Charitable Foundation’s mission of “Helping Kids be Kids,” all money raised will support nonprofits that provide children with housing, proper nutrition, and health care, as well as educational, social and recreational opportunities.
Since its launch in 2018, the Pioneer Charitable Foundation has provided more than $1.2 million in financial support to nearly 400 Capital Region nonprofits, and Pioneer employees have contributed well over 10,000 hours in local volunteer service.
The event will provide excellent photo/video and interview opportunities in a fun setting. Reporters, photographers and videographers are welcome to attend.
