Tinney’s Tavern Grand Re-Opening

Middle Grove, NY – Tinney’s Tavern is thrilled to once again be opening their doors to the public. On Thursday, May 23rd at 3 p.m people are encouraged to come out and celebrate their Re-Opening Ribbon Cutting. After a change in ownership, the restaurant (located at 498 Lake Desolation Road, Middle Grove, NY 12850), has been going through several renovations in preparation for the reopening. However, guests can be reassured that everything they love about Tinney’s from their menu to the welcoming atmosphere will remain the same. Guests can look forward to enjoying some delicious food, cold beer, and celebrating the newly renovated Tinney’s. 

Located on Lake Desolation, which is filled with snowmobile trails, Tinney’s was first established in the 1950s. Ever since, the restaurant has become a popular destination for all members of the community, especially snowmobilers. Their menu features wood-fired pizzas, burgers, wings, and plenty of craft beer. As well as televisions to broadcast games for all the sports lovers. 

At the end of April, ownership of Tinney’s transferred to Sean and Jaimee Willcoxon and Bill and Karen Miller. Bill and Karen own Performance Industrial, a commercial and industrial cleaning company, where Sean works as the operations manager. Prior to joining Industrial Performance, Sean had many years of experience in hospitality. Growing up with parents that owned restaurants, he started working in the industry at 12 years old. After six months at Performance Industrial Sean got the itch to dive back into the hospitality industry. Bill suggested they team up and that’s when they found Tinney’s. “It has a great community following so it was really a no brainer to try and go after it,” explained Sean.

The four owners have been working hard to prepare for the reopening of such a beloved restaurant. They have added fresh paint, new lighting, and an additional television. However, their goal is to preserve the already well-established tavern. They plan on reintroducing as many of Tinney’s events as possible and continue to welcome loyal guests as well as bring new people to the restaurant. “The more people we can get up here, the better it’s going to be for everyone,” said Sean. The restaurant’s new hours are as follows:

• Monday – closed
• Tuesday – closed
• Wednesday – 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
• Thursday – 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
• Friday – 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.
• Saturday – 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.
• Sunday – 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
