Meet the Breeds in Ballston Spa

BALLSTON SPA, NY – Are you considering adding a dog to your family but unsure which breed might be the best fit? Cornell Cooperative Extension invites you to the “Meet the Breeds” event, a unique opportunity to learn about more than 25 different dog breeds, their traits, and their suitability as family pets. This free event will be held on Saturday, September 14th, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the 4-H Training Center in Ballston Spa, NY.
At this event, you can:
- Meet a variety of dog breeds and learn about their historical purposes, functions, and characteristics.
- Discover which breeds may be right for your family while also learning about responsible dog ownership.
- Enjoy exciting demonstrations, including K-9 officer demos, Newfie draft demos, and agility/obedience demos.
In addition to meeting the dogs, you’ll have the chance to connect with local canine businesses, including trainers and veterinarians, who can provide valuable advice and resources. Concessions will be available, and the event is open to the public, making it a perfect outing for the entire family.
