Calling All Gardening Enthusiasts and Aspiring Green Thumbs!

Rexford, NY — Cornell Cooperative Extension of Saratoga County and Historic Grooms Tavern invite you to dig in and grow with us at the Vegetable Gardening Series, hosted at Historic Grooms Tavern (290 Sugar Hill Road, Rexford, NY 12148). This engaging three-part workshop will take place on April 21st, June 26th, and August 7th, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM—offering a seasonal look at vegetable gardening from spring prep to fall harvest.
Whether you’re just starting out or already have dirt under your nails, this hands-on series offers something for every gardener. Each class focuses on a different phase of the gardening journey:
- April 21st – Preparing Your Vegetable Garden:
Learn the tips and tricks on how to prepare your vegetable garden. Learn how to prep your soil, make a garden layout, learn which plants can be planted together and how to rotate your crops in different growing seasons. - June 26th – Maintaining Your Vegetable Garden:
Come and learn about how to keep your garden going during the summer heat, how to prevent and detect insect and disease problems and learn proper watering techniques. - August 7th – Harvesting and Preparing Your Garden for Winter:
Are you interested in learning about harvesting vegetables and prepping your garden for winter? Join to learn about soil and plant preparation as we go into fall and learn how to properly harvest from your garden.
