Saratoga County Agricultural Society’s Gymkhana Series Under the Lights Returns for 2025

Ballston Spa, NY – Get ready to saddle up! The Saratoga County Agricultural Society’s Gymkhana Series Under the Lights is back for the 2025 season, bringing a thrilling series of horseback games and competition to the Saratoga County Fairgrounds. Taking place on the fourth Friday of each month, this high-energy event will light up the night starting in May and continue through September, with a rain date set for October 17th.

New for 2025:

  • Online Registration – Participants can now register online for added convenience! Visit the Saratoga County Fair website or follow this link: https://saratogacountyagriculturalsoci.ticketspice.com/gymkhana-series-.
  • Enhanced Arena Lighting – Two additional spotlights have been installed, bringing the total to six spotlights illuminating the 200×100 outdoor arena, ensuring better visibility and faster patterns!

Event Schedule

  • Friday, May 30th – Points for Series High Point
  • Friday, June 27th – Points for Series High Point
  • Friday, July 25th (During the Saratoga County Fair) – Points for Series High Point + Awards & Paybacks
  • Friday, August 22nd – Points for Series High Point
  • Friday, September 26th – Points for Series High Point
  • Rain Date: Friday, October 17th

Divisions

The 2025 Gymkhana Series will feature five divisions:

  • Open Adult (19 & over)
  • Open Senior (18-14 years old)
  • Open Junior (13 & under)
  • 4-H Senior (18-14 years old) (Must be enrolled in 4-H with proof of evaluation)
  • 4-H Junior (13 & under) (Must be enrolled in 4-H with proof of evaluation)

Open to all counties, 4-H participants must ensure they are enrolled and evaluated through their respective 4-H Horse Educator.

Each Gymkhana will feature up to six classes, with new patterns and games introduced each month. Riders will have the opportunity to earn points toward the series championship, with prizes awarded at each event.
