2025 Girls Construction Summer Camp with NCTWC

The Northeast Construction Trades Workforce Coalition (NCTWC) is thrilled to unveil its 2025 Girls Construction Summer Camps, taking place at the Whitbeck Construction Education Center in Gansevoort, NY. Designed for young women entering grades 6–8, these camps offer an empowering, hands-on dive into STEM through real-world construction projects.
Camp 1 runs July 21–25, from 8:30 AM–1:30 PM, welcoming girls new to construction. For $200, participants will explore tool use, math, science, technology, and design while building toolboxes, Viking chairs, vertical gardens, charcuterie boards, and dodecahedrons—all topped off with a “Construction Olympics” competition and a site‑tour field trip . Lunch, snacks, and beverages are provided; campers should bring a bagged lunch.
Graduates of Camp 1 can advance to Camp 2, scheduled for July 28–August 1, where more complex builds await—think Adirondack chairs, dog houses, and benches—plus an “Amazing Construction Race” challenge. Prerequisite: completion of Camp 1.
Limited to ensure quality instruction, each camp costs $200, and early registration via Pam at pam@nctwc.org is recommended to secure a spot.
Now in its second year, the girls’ camp builds on a successful inaugural run in 2024, when 22 middle schoolers mastered power tools, team dynamics, and construction know-how while shattering stereotypes about women in the trades. NCTWC aims to foster confidence, creativity, and STEM curiosity—planting seeds that could grow into lifelong careers.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity! Join us in shaping a future where girls lead the way in construction—one drill, one board, one masterpiece at a time.
