CCE Saratoga Call for Community Talent to Join Volunteers

Images provided

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Saratoga County is inviting community members to participate in a new 4-H and Family & Consumer Sciences Volunteer Skills Inventory Survey to identify the talents, interests, hobbies, and professional experiences that could support its local programming.

The initiative aims to learn more about the knowledge and skills available throughout the community and identify opportunities to connect residents with programs serving local youth, families, and individuals.

Community members may have experience in agriculture, STEM, arts and crafts, cooking, finance, skilled trades, public speaking, gardening, health and wellness, event planning, marketing, technology, or a variety of other areas. Cornell Cooperative Extension hopes to hear from anyone interested in potentially sharing their knowledge or experience.

Completing the survey does not commit participants to becoming volunteers or participating in any specific program or activity. Instead, the information will help the organization better understand available community resources and identify potential opportunities that align with local interests and needs.

Take the Survey

Community members can complete the online survey here:

The survey is open to everyone, not just current 4-H volunteers. Residents are encouraged to share the opportunity with friends, family members, coworkers, neighbors, and others who may have skills or interests they would be willing to contribute.

As Cornell Cooperative Extension of Saratoga County looks toward the future, expanding its network of community volunteers could help strengthen 4-H and Family & Consumer Sciences programming, create new educational opportunities, and respond to emerging community needs.

Community members interested in supporting local educational opportunities are encouraged to take a few minutes to complete the survey and share what they have to offer.
