Ballston Spa, NY – Meet the Breeds was held on Saturday, September 6th. The Saratoga County 4-H and Saratoga Kennel Club welcomed over 70 community members to the 4-H Training Center on Middleline Road in Ballston Spa. Attendees were invited to see a showcase of canines, veterinarians, trainers, and breeders. Each participant provided information on their animal or specialty. It was a family affair for many people in the community.

There were over 20 breeds of dogs including, Australian Shepherd, Cavalier King Charles, Dobermann Pinscher, Giant Schnauzer, Golden Retriever, Great Dane, Gordon Setters, Italian Greyhound, Miniature American Shepherd, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, Old Danish Pointer, Scottish Deerhound, Smooth Fox Terrier, Schipperke, Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, Standard Poodle, Whippet and more. The community had a wonderful time learning the differences between each breed and the canines enjoyed lots of petting. Local Businesses including, Burnt Hills Veterinary Hospital, RocDog, BluePath Service Dogs as well as the Lobbyist for the Associated Dog Clubs of NYS were in attendance and shared information with the public on what they offered.
