Saratoga County CCE Receives Grant to Expand Youth Nutrition Education

The Saratoga County Cornell Cooperative Extension’s Family and Consumer Science Department is thrilled to announce that it has been awarded a grant from the New York Beef Council, aimed at enhancing youth nutrition education throughout the community.

This exciting collaboration underscores our shared commitment to fostering healthy eating habits among young people in Saratoga County. With the support of this grant, we will be able to provide hands-on educational programming that utilizes ground beef, allowing students to gain a practical understanding of beef’s vital role in a healthy, balanced diet.

Our Community Nutrition Educator will be visiting various schools to deliver engaging lessons that not only highlight the nutritional benefits of beef but also empower students to make informed dietary choices. We warmly invite local schools to join us in this initiative, as we believe that together we can create a supportive environment that promotes lifelong healthy eating habits.
