Saratoga Springs Youth Ballet Hosts Summer Salsa Soirée Benefit at Saratoga Arts
SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY — The Saratoga Springs Youth Ballet (SSYB) invites the community to the SSYB Summer Salsa Soirée on Thursday, July 30th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Hosted at Saratoga Arts, located at 320 Broadway in Saratoga Springs, this vibrant evening combines dance, music, and community spirit to support a great cause.
Attendees will enjoy an energetic atmosphere featuring delicious aperitivos, and two complimentary drink tickets included with admission. The evening’s programming highlights include:
- Live Student Showcase: A featured performance by the talented dancers of the SSYB Summer Intensive program.
- Expert Latin Dance Lesson: A guided Latin Social Dance lesson led by world-class dance artist Jessica Batten.
- Open Dance Floor: Ample time for freestyle dancing, listening to music, and enjoying great company.

Featured Instructor: Jessica Batten
A highly accomplished professional, Jessica Batten trained with the New Jersey Dance Theatre Ensemble (NJDTE) under Nancy Turano and graduated cum laude with a BFA from SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance. She has performed professionally across the globe, including with Ballet Hispánico, Connecticut Ballet, Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, and the Metropolitan Opera Ballet. Notably, she represented the USA at the Fifth Annual International Dance Festival in Cali, Colombia, and appeared as a Guest Professionista on Italy’s AMICI television show. She has served as Ballet Mistress for NJDTE, Rehearsal Director for Nimbus Dance, and is a recurring summer faculty member at the Joffrey Ballet School.
All proceeds from the event directly benefit the Saratoga Springs Youth Ballet’s educational initiatives and performance programs.
