Showcase of Homes Returns to Saratoga County for 30th Anniversary
For 30 years, the Saratoga Showcase of Homes has turned a fall weekend into a celebration of local homebuilding, design and community giving.
Lisa Licata, Branch Manager/Associate Broker of Sterling Real Estate Group and Co-Chair of the Saratoga Showcase of Homes and Barry Potoker, Executive Director of the Saratoga Builders Association and Co-Chair of the Saratoga Showcase of Homes, both based in Saratoga Springs, continue their longtime involvement in leading the event, which will feature 13 homes throughout Saratoga County on October 3-4 and October 10-11, 2026. The event has raised nearly $1.7 million for local charities over its first 29 years, primarily Rebuilding Together Saratoga County and Habitat for Humanity.
13 Saratoga County Homes, Four Days to Explore: October 3-4 and October 10-11
The 2026 Showcase of Homes is a self-guided tour, with the 13 participating homes open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each Saturday and Sunday. Visitors can start wherever they want, and a map and QR code on the Showcase website will provide directions between homes.
Licata said the event has become about much more than looking at new houses. Visitors can get ideas for paint colors, tile, kitchens, bathrooms, furnishings and other home projects, while people considering new construction can meet builders and see their work firsthand.
“It’s an annual fall tradition,” Licata said, describing the groups who return to the Showcase every year. She noted that some attendees have even traveled from other states and built an entire Saratoga visit around the event.
The homes are primarily new construction, although the Showcase has also featured major renovations. Potoker explained that renovated homes generally need to have roughly 75% to 80% of the home renovated to be considered. This year’s 13-home lineup includes:

People’s Choice, Professional Judging and Community Giving
The Showcase also gives visitors a chance to participate. Attendees can vote for the People’s Choice Award, and those who visit at least 10 of the 13 homes can be entered into a giveaway drawing. Separate professional judges from outside the area tour the homes before the public opening and evaluate them in categories including:
- Exterior Architectural Design
- Interior Floor Plan
- Kitchen
- Primary Bath
- Workmanship
- Landscaping
- Interior Decorating
For Potoker and Licata, however, the event’s biggest impact is what happens beyond the homes themselves. “Our main secondary goal is to give back to our community,” Potoker said.
Tickets are expected to go on sale in late August at SaratogaShowcaseofHomes.com. Visitors will be able to purchase tickets online or buy physical tickets at Showcase homes during the tour, with additional local ticket locations including Adirondack Trust, Saratoga National Bank (now Arrow Bank), Curtis Lumber, Roohan Realty and the participating charities.
The 30th anniversary Showcase of Homes will also feature a greenhouse built by BOCES students, a student wooden-planter exhibition on October 3, and vehicles displayed at select homes. With planning beginning as early as January and February, Licata said the showcase committee are now focused on getting every detail ready for opening day.
