Kelly’s Angels Scholarship Program Opens for 2026 High School Seniors

Non-profit’s 29 scholarships among the biggest in the region 

LAKE GEORGE, NY— Nemer Motor Group and Kelly’s Angels are excited to announce that a  college scholarship program for Lake George High School students who plan to attend SUNY Adirondack is being renewed for a third year! 

A two-year, $10,000 scholarship will be awarded to a Lake George Class of 2026 student who  demonstrates perseverance in the face of adversity, coming on the heels of two-year  scholarships awarded to 2024 and 2025 Lake George High School graduates. 

Thanks to the generosity of Nemer Motor Group, the scholarship earmarked for a Lake George  High School senior who plans to attend SUNY Adirondack will be paid in two installments of  $5,000, each of the two years the winning student attends SUNY-Adirondack. “We are committed to helping young people right here in our community,” said Robert Nemer,  co-owner of Nemer Motor Group, himself a former elementary school teacher. “This  scholarship is one small way we can keep talented young people in the area.” 

Eligibility 

To qualify for the Nemer-Lake George scholarship, a student must: 

  • Be a Lake George High School graduating senior 
  • Plan to attend SUNY Adirondack 
  • Have a need for financial assistance 
  • Have demonstrated perseverance through adversity and/or kindness through service to  others, especially to other children 

Students who meet the criteria should see the Lake George High School Guidance Office for  application details. 

In addition to the Lake George scholarship, Kelly’s Angels Inc. is accepting applications from  high school seniors for its scholarship program at 14 Capital Region institutions and $52,000 in  scholarships. 

“We are thrilled to offer our scholarship program at 14 area high schools again this year, and  honored that Nemer Motor Group will continue to help us with an additional scholarship,” said  Mark Mulholland, founder and President of Kelly’s Angels. “At $52,000 this is among the  biggest annual scholarship programs in the Capital Region. My late wife, Kelly, would be so  proud of our all-volunteer charity.” 

Kelly was a school teacher who was beloved by her students for her kindness and positive  attitude. 

Two $1,500 scholarships will be awarded at each of the following area high schools: 

Fort Edward
Glens Falls 
Saratoga Central Catholic
Hoosic Valley 
Saratoga Springs
Hudson Falls 
Shenendehowa
Lake George 
South Glens Falls
Mechanicville 
Stillwater
Queensbury 
Whitehall
Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk 

Eligibility: 

To qualify for this scholarship, the student must: 

  • Be a graduating senior at one of the 14 eligible high schools 
  • Have plans to continue their education at an institution of higher learning • Be a hardworking student, but not necessarily the highest achieving 
  • Have a need for financial assistance 
  • Have persevered in the face of adversity 
  • Have shown a commitment to serving others, especially other children

Applications are being accepted through the Kelly’s Angels website March 2, 2026.

  • Hugs for Ukraine: Helping those who emigrated from Ukraine fleeing their war-torn nation.
